Metal Fatigue is a piercing shop based in Bournemouth, built on a passion for piercing, years of experience and high standards.
This is our story.
Metal Fatigue was started in Bournemouth in 2002 by Sarge, a highly experienced and respected body piercer, with deep roots in the body modification world.
At a time when body piercing was still considered underground and unconventional, Sarge believed it deserved recognition as a skilled and professional craft.
Sarge’s vision was to create a dedicated piercing studio that prioritised quality, professionalism and individuality.
A place where people could feel safe, respected, and free to express themselves through body modification.
Not long after opening, Sarge took on two apprentices, AJ and Simon.
Sarge shared his knowledge of anatomy, hygiene and precision with them and they quickly became key members of the team.
Sarge sadly passed away in 2022, leaving a huge hole in both Bournemouth’s alternative scene and the wider body piercing community.
Despite this loss, AJ and Simon continued to uphold Metal Fatigue’s reputation for skill, safety, and artistry.
What began as one piercer’s vision rooted in alternative culture has evolved into a trusted and respected studio.
AJ and Simon continue to maintain Sarge’s legacy by offering safe, high-quality and expressive body piercing.
Now more than twenty years later, Metal Fatigue has grown into one of the top body piercing shops in the UK.
